Florian Bitsch is Head of Responsible Investment within the Group Asset Management function at Helvetia Baloise Group, a position he has held since 2023. In this role, Mr Bitsch is responsible for developing and implementing the insurance group’s strategy for responsible investing, including active owernship through engagement and voting. Prior to joining Helvetia, Mr Bitsch spent over 10 years at BlackRock in various roles, most recently as head of Portfolio Consulting for institutional investors across Europe. He brings extensive experience in investment strategy, investment risk management and responsible investing. Florian Bitsch holds a graduate degree in economics, a doctorate in financial management from the Technical University of Munich, and was a Visiting Fellow at Harvard University.
