Dr. Serafin von Roon is managing director of the FfE (research institute for energy economics) and has been working in the energy industry for over 20 years. His areas of expertise are energy markets, load flexibility and industrial energy management. He received his doctorate in engineering from the Technical University of Munich in 2012 with a thesis on the effects of forecasting errors on the marketing of wind power and has been teaching mechanisms of the European electricity and gas markets at the Technical University of Munich since 2016. In addition, he regularly provides information on current news and developments in the energy industry and climate policy in the podcast ‘Redispatch’.
