Peter Renner is a political scientist specialising in international politics. He has held management positions in various non-governmental organisations for more than 20 years. He has worked in technical assistance, economic cooperation and development cooperation for almost 30 years and has extensive experience abroad. His assignments have taken him to Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Africa, among other places. Most recently, he was the director of a foundation for development co-operation with more than 650 employees. He is very familiar with the current challenges in the field of development cooperation and climate policy, particularly in the area of nature-based solutions.
