Catherine Marchewitz has about 15 years of experience in governance and sustainable finance in academia (DIW Berlin, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, TU Darmstadt) as well as in marketing, corporate communications and business development in the financial sector (e.g. LRI Group, Aquila Capital, KBC Asset Management).
In her research she focuses on the role of regulatory frameworks for the decarbonization of ‚hard-to-abate sectors‘, specifically the role of climate-related risk scenarios, corporate transition plans and pathways to climate neutrality, sustainable finance taxonomies worldwide and their contribution to financing the transition to net zero, and climate- related stewardship activities with corporates and policy makers. She is a member of the Think Tank of the Corporate Responsibility Interface Center (cric e. V.) and member of the Jury for the Sustainable Finance Award.
