The Global Fund for Coral Reefs (GFCR) is a large-scale blended finance coalition, which includes the first commercial-scale private equity impact investment fund targeting SDG14, life below water, led by Pegasus Capital Advisors. The investment fund pursues a diversified portfolio in the Global South, comprised of high-growth opportunities in the wild-caught fisheries, aquaculture, hospitality, and circular economy sectors, with the goal of generating market rate returns while creating positive benefits for climate-vulnerable communities and the coastal habitats and biodiverse coral reef ecosystems on which they depend.
