Arnim Emrich

Arnim Emrich is head of treasury for the federal state of Baden-Württemberg. In this role he has co-authored a law on sustainable investing. His team manages the state’s sovereign pension funds. He is also in charge of the state’s Green Bond issuance program, as well as the general funding, debt and liquidity management. His team oversees the state’s payment operations and is in charge of the annual budget accounts (Haushaltsrechnung).

Mr. Emrich holds a Master’s degree from WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management. He had previously held roles in the state ministry for budget planning and law as well as regional economic policy. Prior to his government service he worked as a consultant and advised public organizations how to streamline their operations and become more effective. He has worked and studied internationally with longer periods of time in Romania, United States, Italy, China and India.
