Sarita is a highly skilled impact investment professional and with her nearly 30 years of experience, she is viewed as a pioneer in her field. Leveraging her investment background and in-depth knowledge of ESG and Impact themes and issues, as well as her experience in working in emerging and frontier markets, she is uniquely qualified to capitalize on the intersectionality between financial, ESG and impact risks and opportunities in impact investment decision-making processes. During the past two years, Sarita had gained considerable experience with tail-end funds and special situations in fund investments. Sarita has extensive experience on boards, advisory committees, and taskforces.

Currently, Sarita is a Senior Portfolio Manager- Fund Investments at Finnfund, the Finnish Development Finance Institution (DFI). Previously, she was the Managing Director- Environment, Social, Governance, and Impact (ESGI) at Obviam, which was SIFEM’s (the Swiss DFI’s) asset manager during her tenure. Sarita has also been an Investment Manager- ESG at Norfund, the Norwegian DFI, Head of Sustainability at KPMG Norway, and the Head of Socially-Responsible Investment Department at Storebrand, Norway’s largest asset manager.
