Paul Wieshammer heads the Finance and Sustainability Division at the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW) and brings a strong background in finance and economics. His work includes developing concepts for financing the energy transition, preparing strategy papers and analyses for policymakers and industry stakeholders, and overseeing CSRD implementation as well as human rights due diligence obligations. He also deals with VAT-related issues in the energy sector. Prior to this, Paul worked in management consulting. He holds a Master of Science in Management from the University of Mannheim.
