Dr. Christian Waldvogel is Managing Partner of Renaissance – a Swiss investment foundation financed by 45 Swiss pension funds and exclusively dedicated for more than 25 years to the succession and growth financing of Swiss SMEs.

The particularity of Renaissance is its long-term buy-and-hold approach with an open- ended (“evergreen”) structure.

In addition to his activities at Renaissance, Christian is a board member of the Swiss Export association and of the economic research institute at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich “Konjunkturforschungsstelle” (KOF).

Christian benefits from an international experience in operational management in the semiconductor (Intel Corporation) and telecommunication industry. Prior to funding Renaissance, he was European Director for Intel Capital based in Paris.

Christian holds a Ph.D. in Cryptography and a Master’s Degree in Telecommunications from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Zurich. He also holds a Bachelor of Science and Engineering from Princeton University (USA).
