Carmen Sprus is a passionate leader in sustainability and decarbonization, known for her global expertise and deep understanding of the Swiss market. She leads the EY Sustainability Solution on an EMEIA level and is the Co-founder of EY Sustainability, the dedicated decarbonization service for EY’s clients. Over the last eight years, Carmen has helped clients in the pharma, advanced manufacturing, and energy sectors to develop and implement credible net-zero and ESG-driven growth strategies. Her approach to decarbonization involves comprehensive transformations that impact every aspect of a business model, driven by innovative strategies, technologies, and change management.

Her expertise is further underscored by her strategic secondments with Roche and ADNOC. At Roche, she partnered with the Chief Sustainability Officer to develop and implement the Roche Group’s sustainability strategy. At ADNOC, she assisted the Vice President in establishing the new Low Carbon department. Carmen is an impact-driven leader, actively participating in global sustainability discussions, featured in Forbes DACH, and moderating a hydrogen roundtable at COP28.

Based in Zurich, Carmen has worked in six countries and led over 25 cross-border sustainability projects. She holds master’s degrees in Management and Economics from the University of Zurich and in Chinese Economy from Fudan University.
