Tobias Schwind is co-founder and managing partner of Fraunhofer Technologie Transfer Fonds GmbH (FTTF).

FTTF is Germany’s first EIF-funded technology transfer fund and invests in start- ups that use Fraunhofer technology. Fraunhofer is Europe’s largest organization for applied research with 30,000 researchers and an annual budget of 3 billion euros. The successor fund will operate under TT49 and invest in Start-Ups from Fraunhofer, Helmholtz, Leibniz, Max-Planck and their partner universities.

Previously Tobias was co-founder and CEO of Industrial Solar. A start-up in the environment of the renowned Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE), for projects to generate solar process heat for industry. Industrial Solar was listed on NASDAQ First North under Clean Industry Solutions Holding AB. During this time, Tobias received various national and international awards.

Tobias was previously TechTransfer Manager at Fraunhofer and responsible for several spin-offs in the field of renewable energies.

Tobias studied economics at DHBW in Germany and holds an MBA from ESCP.
