Martin Schröder has 25 years‘ experience working at the nexus of climate change, natural resources, and international development cooperation.
At KfW Development Bank, he heads the division responsible for biodiversity and natural resources in Latin America and the Caribbean. Previously, he managed a KfW strategic initiative focusing on landscape-based carbon removals, he led the KfW Development Bank office in Brazil, and worked on a portfolio of climate change projects in the KfW Carbon Fund. Prior to joining KfW, Martin was active on climate change certification at TÜV SÜD and contributed to forest conservation in Ecuador on behalf of GIZ, among others. Martin holds a Master’s degree in Tropical Forest Science.
