Thomas Schär is a Senior Responsible Investing Analyst at Swiss Re Asset Management, where he is responsible for the development and enhancement of sustainability frameworks and strategy across the asset management division. He works closely with both private and public markets investment teams to embed sustainability considerations into investment processes across asset classes.

He brings over fourteen years of experience in global asset management and consulting, focusing on ESG integration, sustainable investing regulation, ESG data strategy, and operating model design. Prior to joining Swiss Re, Thomas held ESG integration roles at UBS Asset Management and Credit Suisse Asset Management, where he was responsible for global ESG integration frameworks, regulatory implementation, and sustainable investing governance. Previously, he worked in strategy consulting at Alpha FMC, advising asset managers on operating model transformation and sustainability initiatives.

Thomas is a CFA Charterholder and holds a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Zurich.
