Michael Rieser is a Program Director at the UBS Optimus Foundation where he manages direct investments, fund investments, and the development of impact investment vehicles in partnership with UBS, all with a geographic focus on the Global South. Thematically, projects Michael has worked on focus in particular on climate & environment, but also health and education. Before joining UBS Optimus Foundation, Michael developed agribusinesses in Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Caribbean. He also held positions in academia and at economics consultancies.
