Gabriele Recke is a trained economist with extensive experience in sustainable finance and investment management. She joint Allianz Investment Management in 2012 as an Investment Manager for the Fixed Income Emerging Markets portfolios and soon moved to the sustainability topic.
She was closely involved in the development and implementation of the sustainability strategy for Allianz’s proprietary investments. Currently, she serves as the Head of Sustainability at Allianz Investment Management SE in Stuttgart, overseeing the sustainable investment strategy for German life/health insurance portfolios. Gabriele has been instrumental in implementing various EU sustainable finance regulations and actively supported Allianz’s participation in the EU Platform on sustainable finance. Previously, Gabriele has also worked as an economist at Allianz SE and Dresdner Bank, focusing on insurance and wealth markets research, as well as emerging markets country risk. She holds a Diploma in Economics with a focus on Latin America from Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, is married and has two kids.
