12.2019 – 12.2024 EB – Sustainable Investment Management GmbH, Kassel, Germany
Managing Director, CEO and Chief Investment Officer. The firm is an asset management company focused purely on sustainable and impact investments and is wholly owned by Evangelische Bank. As CEO, I was responsible for corporate strategy and sustainability. I managed the growth in business volume from € 3 bn and 20 employees in 2019 to > € 6.3 bn and 80 employees by mid-2024. I was directly responsible for the €5.5 bn liquid investment platform in Frankfurt/Main with 20 portfolio managers and analysts in the areas of equities, bonds and multi-asset. The team was also directly responsible for €1 billion in DPM mandates for the parent bank. Until 01/2022, I was also responsible for building up the alternatives business in private equity and private debt in Renewable Energy, which by mid-2024 had grown to € 800 m AUM. Also, I oversaw the firm’s multi-asset investment strategy, which was implemented in all funds and mandates. While responsible for Sales (until 01/2021), I started the wholesale distribution business with third-party banks and broker pools.

3.2018 – 11.2019 DWS International GmbH, Frankfurt, Germany
Head of Investment Advisory Multi Asset Model Portfolios and Portfolio Manager in Multi Asset & Solutions. Within the DWS Multi Asset & Solutions Group, I led a team of 3 quant and fund selection experts and advised external distribution partners (asset managers, banks, insurance companies) in Europe, Asia & Mid-East with ETF and fund based model portfolios. I was responsible for the development of an integrated service offering with asset allocation, fund selection, portfolio management, reporting and client communication, growing the assets under management by approx. € 500 m within 3 years. I was also instrumental in the development and first sale of a fully integrated digital asset management system to a life insurance company.

09.2015 – 2.2018 DWS International GmbH, Frankfurt, Germany
Senior Product Strategist Equities for the Strategic Beta Team in Passive Asset Man-agement. I headed a team of 3 analysts and was responsible for the development of fac-tor-based equity indices and investment strategies. I collaborated with leading index providers to launch innovative smart beta concepts on the Xtrackers ETF platform. Supporting Sales, I was responsible for the creation of marketing materials to promote the Smart Beta offering through presentations and client meetings. In addition, I was the project lead for the development of a web-based client portal for the provision of digital content relating to portfolio advice. After launching the investment advisory ser-vice with ETF-based multi-asset portfolios, my team was transferred to the Multi Asset division in March 2018.

01.2006 – 08.2015 DWS Investment GmbH, Frankfurt, Germany
Senior Portfolio Manager in the DWS Equity Income Team. Roles included lead PM for ~ 500 MN € in institutional mandates, deputy PM for retail flagship fund DWS Top Dividende (€ 20B+ AUM) and various US equity funds (a.o. DWS Large Cap Value). I managed several funds according to value and dividend strategies. Frequent interaction with institutional clients across Europe, Asia and the US by means of roadshows, conference calls, presentations and panel discussions. Extensive media presence across various channels (TV, print, online), representing house investment view as well as product specific investment opinion. Research responsibility for US food & beverage stocks.

Executive Assistant to the CAO / Member of the Management Board. Chief of staff role, administrating and coordinating the daily business flow. Preparation and post-processing of management board meetings, supervisory board meetings, speeches and presentations. Involved in strategic restructuring initiatives, working together closely with senior management as well as external consultants.

Research fellow and teaching assistant to Finance Professor. Taught classes in Corporate Finance, Portfolio Management, and Financial Analysis. Involved in consulting projects with a Swiss bank on investment advisory and asset management.

Apprenticeship/training-program including stages in all major departments of a private bank. Thereafter, 2-month stage in the Corporate Finance / International Institutions department. Involved in the administration of Ecu-payments for a large European client. Developed a Microsoft-Access database automating a client specific payment process.

CEMS Master in International Management, 2002 Semester abroad at ESADE, Barcelona (Spain) in the CEMS Master program, a pan-European masters degree in international management, taught jointly by 17 leading European management schools. Scholarship from Haniel Stiftung. Degree awarded in 2002.
