Founded in 2008, MIKRO KAPITAL is focused on impact finance and microfinance. MIKRO KAPITAL operates primarily through two Luxembourg based securitization funds MIKRO FUND and ALTERNATIVE. Both securitization funds assume risks connected to a portfolio of companies and micro finance institutions, providing various financing services to small businesses and individual entrepreneurs in emerging countries of EMEA and APAC regions. MIKRO FUND and ALTERNATIVE provide investment opportunities to institutional and professional investors through issuance of debt securities (total assets – over EUR 1 billion as of 30 September 2023). MIKRO KAPITAL is part of the European Microfinance Network, signatory of OPIM (Operating Principles for Impact Management) and have partnerships and adhesions with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN), the National Institute of Italian Microcredit (ENM), as well as collaborations with important international investors such as European Investment Fund.
