Marco Zimmermann is Global Head of Treasury and Capital Markets of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Luxembourg.
Marco joined EIB in 2023, taking charge of Capital Markets Funding, Liquidity Management, ALM, Portfolio Management, Investor Relations and Financial Engineering.
Prior to joining EIB, Marco spent over 25 years at Deutsche Bank, where he held various positions encompassing Risk Management, Corporate Finance, and Treasury. Intrigued by how technology can shape advancements in the banking sector, Marco ventured into the FinTech industry for two years in Berlin to gain insights into this exciting intersection.
Marco holds a diploma in economics from the Cooperative State University of Karlsruhe, Germany.
