Georg Lehecka is emplyed as a senior fund and bank analyst in securities supervision/asset management at the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) and is responsible for the coordination of topics in sustainable finance and sustainability risks. In this role, he has also coordinated the FMA guidelines for dealing with sustainability risks. Before he joined the FMA in 2014, he not only worked in the financial market, including portfolio management for an impact investment fund, but also worked as a research assistant and lecturer at the Institute for Sustainable Economic Development at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna, where he also received a doctoral degree in economics.
