Max Kulhanek is a senior portfolio manager with UNIQA Capital Markets GmbH, the insurer´s asset manager and part of the private equity team, responsible for managing the Group´s Private Equity portfolio. At its core, the portfolio is focused on buyout managers in developed economies with a history of sustainably responsible investment practices. Before joining UNIQA in 2015, Max spent 10 years as an investment manager with Commenda Consulting, a boutique specialized on structuring and managing private equity portfolios of large Austrian institutional Investors, similarly focusing on US and EU based mid to large buyout managers. He was born and raised in South Africa and holds a degree in business administration from the Viennese University of Economics and Business Administration.
