As head of sustainability research at Ökoworld, Verena Kienel is responsible for the ESG assessment of companies for the investment universe of Ökoworld funds. She is also responsible for developing and strengthening Ökoworld’s role as active investor.

Verena has 20 years experience in the financial industry across different functions in banking as well as asset management working in London, Luxembourg and Germany. She is also advisory member of the board of the Forum Nachhaltige Geldanlagen (FNG).

Verena holds a master’s degree in sustainability management (MBA, Leuphana University) as well as in international business economics (MSc, University of Westminster). Verena is certified ESG analyst (CESGA)
