Markus Ketterer has been Head of the Sustainability Office at BayernInvest since February 2024. Previously, he worked as an ESG Analyst at BayernInvest starting in 2023. In his role, he is responsible, among other things, for implementing ESG-related regulatory requirements. Moreover, he oversees the engagement approach at BayernInvest and the overall ESG integration in its investment strategy. He also leads the internal ESG Competence Center, where relevant sustainability aspects in fund management are discussed and decided upon.

From 2020 to 2023, he worked as an ESG Analyst at Deka Investment in Frankfurt. Between 2017 and 2020, he was part of the Economics & Policy team at PwC.

Markus is a member of the DVFA (German Association for Financial Analysis and Asset Management) and serves on its Sustainability Committee. He has been a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) since October 2021 and a Certified Environmental, Social and Governance Analyst (CESGA) since May 2023.
