Rolf D. Häßler, banker and graduate economist, is managing partner of the NKI. He has been working professionally on questions of sustainability and sustainable capital investment for more than 30 years.

His professional positions include the imug Beratungsgesellschaft für sozial-ökologische Innovationen mbH (Hannover), the Institut für Ökologie und Unternehmensführung at the European Business School (Oestrich-Winkel) and Munich Re (Munich). Most recently, he was responsible for communication and product development at the ESG rating agency ISS ESG (formerly oekom research).

The NKI advises institutional investors on the development and implementation of ESG investment strategies that fit the organisation´s specific goals and values. Since its founding at the beginning of 2015, the NKI has supported around 270 billion assets under ESG Advisory.
