Stefan Gross is a Senior Public Policy and Risk Management Specialist and has been one of FINMA’s leading experts on sustainable finance and climate risks for many years. He develops and coordinates FINMA’s activities in the area of sustainable finance, particularly with regard to climate risks and combating greenwashing. He also represents FINMA in various national and international working groups, such as the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS) and the IOSCO Sustainable Finance Taskforce (STF). Among other things, he is coordinating work on integrating climate-related risks into FINMA’s supervisory practice for banks and insurers. Stefan Gross holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) in Geneva.
