Szilvia Doczi is a Senior Energy Economist at the World Bank, where, among other priorities, she leads the development of World Bank’s energy system models for Europe and Central Asia used in energy security analyses, in Country Climate and Development Reports (including Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyz Republic, Croatia and Poland) and in the regional Net Zero Energy by 2060 analysis. Before joining the World Bank in 2022, she spent 16 years in the public and private energy sectors, including as Economics Lead for Renewables Integration at the International Energy Agency, and senior roles at Arup’s Transaction Advice team, at Ofgem, GB’s energy regulator, and MAVIR, the Hungarian Transmission System Operator. Prior to 2016 she was involved in more than 20 electricity, solar & wind, gas and water sector transactions/projects with a value of over $10 billion in Asia, Europe and the Americas. She holds an MSc in Economics from the Corvinus University of Budapest.
