Reinhard Czerny is CFO of Burgenland Energie AG, an Austrian energy company leading the market in the field of wind power and with a clear commitment to the expansion of renewable energy generation. In this role Reinhard is responsible for the company’s green growth strategy. The transformation from a conventional utility provider into a green tech company, the massive expansion of photovoltaics, wind power generation and battery energy storage systems with the declared goal to achieve Burgenland’s climate-neutrality and energy-independence by 2030, as well as strategic financial planning with a balanced opportunity and risk management are his main focuses.

Reinhard Czerny graduated in international business from the Vienna University of Economics and holds an executive MBA from Henley Business School, University of Reading/UK. He has many years of international experience as a CFO in the IT industry, amongst others as CFO of IBM Austria and Managing Director of IBM Pensionskasse Aktiengesellschaft.

Positive leadership, motivation and innovation are particularly close to Reinhard Czerny’s heart. He is heavily involved with future technological topics such as artificial intelligence and their use for competitive advantage.

Reinhard Czerny is married and the father of two sons.
