Daniel Avner was born on 21 October 1962 in Oslo, Norway. He grew up in Jerusalem, Israel. From 1984 to 1988, he studied at Tel Aviv University and graduated with a Bachelor of Economics & Accounting and a certificate as a Financial Auditor. From 1989 to 1991, he expanded his academic career with a Master of Business Administration at Duke University, North Carolina, USA. He then worked as a financial analyst for the “Health & Beauty Care” division at Procter & Gamble in Schwalbach/Taunus in 1991 and was responsible for controlling for various product brands.
From 1992 to 2003, Dan Avner was a partner and authorised signatory at E.D.R – Eastern Development & Real Estate GmbH in Berlin and was responsible for the development of 250 residential units with a total volume after sales of 150 million euros.
From 2003 to 2012, Dan Avner was Co-Founder & Managing Director of arsago alternative capital managment GmbH (Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich). arsago was an actively managed real estate investment fund in partnership with Morgan Stanley Real Estate, Nordea and Harvard Endowment with assets under management of one billion euros.
In 2012, Daniel Avner joined Trockland Management GmbH in Berlin as Director and Partner. He is responsible for Special Projects. Trockland is committed to the development of unique spaces with a focus on Berlin and is responsible for extensive, award-winning new construction projects as well as the conversion and renovation of residential and commercial properties with a value of 2.5 billion euros to date.
