Markus is heading the equity investments and funds division for Europe, Asia and MENA at KfW Development Bank in Frankfurt.

He has gained in more than 25 professional years extensive experience in various areas from sustainable economic development, risk management, financial controlling to corporate governance and performance management.

After apprenticing as a banker he graduated in Business Administration (Bayreuth/Leeds) and earned a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Bayreuth.

He holds several mandates in climate and SME focused funds and Banks. Markus is focal point for climate finance via funds at KfW Development Bank.
